Project Details

The YWCA of New York City (YW-NYC) Board of Directors is comprised of talented women leaders who are dedicated to the organization's mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Our goal is to broaden and diversify our dynamic team with new voices and varied perspectives as we implement our strategic growth plan. We are actively seeking new board members who reflect the cultural diversity of the communities we serve.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership in one of the following areas - Communications/PR, Technology, Education, Healthcare, Non-Profit Management, or Social Justice.

Over the past two years, the YW-NYC operated under the leadership of an interim CEO. This was a period of transition; we evaluate our strategy and subsequently refined our program portfolio. A new CEO, Maureen Friar, was hired in August 2019. Maureen has brought new energy and passion to the organization. If you are interested in exploring opportunities with our highly engaged Board of Directors, we'd love to speak with you.
