TWRC Volunteers help staff the center and complete the day-to-day functions including daily chores, caring for ambassador animals, running the admission desk, caring for the animals in our onsite Animal Care Program, working with our education team and much more.
The Animal Care Program runs 7 days a week from Spring to Fall, with 3-hour shifts from 5 am to 11 pm. ACP involves feeding, cleaning, and caring for orphaned and injured birds, squirrels, and opossums. You will be trained by our staff and volunteers to provide the best care possible!
Center volunteers help care for the education animals that live in our center full time as well as support all TWRC operations through a wide variety of tasks. Whether you are washing laundry for ACP or answering phone calls from rescuers, we have year-round, 7-day-a-week opportunities for you to help wildlife.
