What you’ll be doing...

The Human Resources Business Partner provides consultation, support and solutions to designated business units or functions in matters related to people and culture (HR). Interprets human resources polices, programs, and guidelines and in the areas of talent acquisition, employee/volunteer relations, performance management, engagement and rewards, learning and development and other Human Resources areas.

  • Serves as the first point of contact for the assigned business units or functions for all people and culture (HR) related matters
  • Provides guidance to business leaders to promote engagement, increase productivity and retention, to improve work relationships, build morale, and support a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Partners with the business leaders and line managers to assess processes, concerns and challenges and ensure integrated HR solutions and strategies are aligned to the business needs.
  • Provides support and guidance on employee relations issues, diagnoses the root causes and identifies appropriate interventions. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Recommends methods to minimize or prevent future issues.
  • Supports business leaders in development and implementation of the optimal organizational structure.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Reviews Human Resources policies and practices and recommends improvements for optimum achievement of intended purposes of such documents and practices, and achievement of the HR business plan.
  • Ensures compliance with labor law requirements, state legislation, company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • What we’re looking for...

  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations or related field from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field)
  • Startup experience (or a willingness to be part of one);
  • Strong wok ethics and commitment to excellence;
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written with clients and colleagues;
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize;
  • Ability to implement and manage projects to completion
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team in a virtual environment; at the same time a reliable, self-motivated independent worker;
  • Preferred

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification, or working towards one
  • Proficient in G Suite applications or willingness to learn
  • Willingness to learn new platforms as required
