Project Details

At The Living Room, our mission is to provide support and safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth in Clackamas County. We're looking for enthusiastic adult volunteers who share our vision of a community where all youth feel welcome.

The Living Room is in search of reliable volunteers to help out at weekly drop-ins, as well as during other fun events that are held annually. Interaction with youth is a big part of this position! If you're passionate about working with young people and helping TLR fulfill our mission, please consider joining us as a volunteer!

Volunteers:
  • Should be 21+ years of age, willing to attend a two-hour volunteer training and complete a standard criminal background check.
  • Are comfortable interacting with youth; experience working with youth is a bonus, but not required.
  • Are asked to donate two hours of their time per month, OR commit to helping with big events (GSA Summit, Prom, Pride, etc., at least once a year.
  • Help with tabling at events such as Pride and other opportunities
  • We will be holding our spring volunteer trainings in May. Please email elichia@thelivingroomyouth.org with any questions, or to request a volunteer application. We look forward to hearing from you!
