The intern will participate and help coordinate MOLAA’s artist’s residency exhibition to begin in March and will collaborate with the final production phase of the pride flag slated to be completed and displayed mid-May in the 2019 Long Beach Pride Parade.
Supervisor: Carlos Ortega, Curator of Collections
Time Commitment: A minimum of 6 hours and 2 days per week (Monday through Sunday) with a 7 week commitment. Days and times are flexible. Need to work through mid-May.
Training: The intern will be given on-the-job training for this position, giving instructions for specific assignments, establishing objectives and setting deadlines by the artists Chiachio & Giannone and Curator of Collections.
Importance of job to the organization’s purpose: By assisting the Curatorial department, the MOLAA Curatorial Intern will provide MOLAA with the assistance needed when interacting with our guests and helping them create a collaborative art project, thus creating the environment to make guests feel welcome and creative and instill in them the desire to return.
