In Schools Near You

Volunteers will teach or assist at an after-school program provided for free to children in elementary schools, apartments, churches, or on Zoom

Club leaders will attend fun and informative monthly trainings

Clubs run from September through May

We run an average of 14 clubs in Santa Barbara, Goleta, Carpinteria, Santa Ynez and Lompoc

Day of the week and time of day varies from club to club, but most are after school

The commitment is 1 1/2 hours per week but may require preparation time depending on your participation (ie, teacher, helper, etc).

CEF follows all County Public Health COVID guidelines for safe, fun clubs!

REQUIREMENTS

Background Check

Must be at least 14

Orientation or Training

1 1/2 hours per week with minimal preparation; monthly 2-hour training is recommended - very fun and rewarding!

Submit to a background check. Attend training workshop. Agreement with our Statement of Faith, Child Protection Policy, and Doctrinal Protection Policy. Also, the Goleta Union and Santa Ynez School Districts require a Live Scan (fingerprinting).
