As a Fleet Team Member, you will literally help keep the Red Cross moving!!Manage vehicle and trailer maintenance and repairsMeet Red Cross and DOT fleet policies and standardsEngage in identifying vehicles for repair, support in the disposal, or replacement at the direction of the Regional COO, Business Operations Specialist, and Fleet and Facilities CoordinatorAssist fleet team and volunteers to perform work throughout the region, including addressing routine maintenance as well as repairs at approved vendorRecommend process improvements to Operations team; suggest improvements pertaining to regional fleet maintenance
In this position you will help manage vehicle maintenance for the local chapter to ensure fully operational and deployable regional fleet.
Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications for the position include:Current driver's license requiredMust be able to clear a Motor Vehicle checkKnowledge of DOT (Dept. of Transportation) a plus, but not requiredAbility to work with a range of staff members and volunteers throughout the regionLogistical skills a plusAttention to detail and deadlinesKnowledge of vehicles and light mechanics, ex., fluid and tire pressure checks
Training is provided at no cost. The Red Cross asks that Fleet Team Members provide a minimum of 10 hours of service a week.
