Project Details

PCAF is looking for front desk/admin volunteers to answer phones, greet visitors and assist with various admin projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct calls
  • Greet visitors
  • Answer basic questions about PCAF
  • Assist with various admin projects
  • Qualifications:

  • Must have basic office and customer service skills.
  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Must be comfortable with topics of sexuality, sexual orientation and sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Committment:

Due to the high level of training that we invest in our admin volunteers, we ask that these volunteers be able to commit to their weekly 4-hour shift for at least 6 months.

Training: All incoming PCAF volunteers must first schedule a New Volunteer Orientation meeting with the Develpoment Coordinator and pass a criminal history background check.

**Those interested in volunteering in admin will then meet with admin staff for a Q & A. Once a volunteer is accepted as an admin volunteer, staff then provide additional front desk training and supervision.**

Benefits: Volunteers will gain knowledge about HIV/AIDS and the experience of working at a nonprofit organization. They will also gain satisfaction from helping clients and visitors access resources and care at PCAF.

Interested in becoming a PCAF volunteer? Contact our Development Coordinator, Wilmer (wgalindo@piercecountyaids.org) to schedule an orientation today!
