The Worldview Project is a San Diego based non-profit whose mission is to promote cross-cultural awareness, understanding, and appreciation through web-based resources, programs, publications, social networking and local events.
OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION:
The Worldview Project is currently seeking a Marketing Volunteer/Intern with marketing and/or advertising experience to help promote our mission, market our varied projects and programs, liaison with advertisers, create and maintain links with other organizations.
The ideal candidate will be: Someone who is web-savvy and has great phone skills. The applicant should have professional experience with marketing and/or advertising, great interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, cultural sensitivity and awareness, international experience (a plus!), great attention to detail, determination, experience with web and print marketing and advertising.
Most of our work happens during normal business hours, with only occasional weekend or evening hours requested. Volunteers must be able to commit to at least 120 hours of volunteer work within a 6 months period. Interns must also commit to 120 hours, but within a 3 month timeframe.
