Providing friendship and community to people who are shut in at home or in facilities. You can read a book, have great conversation, do an activity, watch tv, light house keeping, etc. Our seniors need people who are willing to go beyond themselves and reach out with helping hands.
Patient Care Volunteers provide direct support by providing both regular and/or respite care implementing tasks such as: Companionship, running errands, attending facility activities with patient, having lunch, watching a movie/t.v. show, looking at photographs and talking about family, writing letters for the patient, reading a book to the patient, meal prep, light housekeeping, etc.
