Help a disadvantaged child (Kindergarten thru 12th grade), shop for new school clothes and uniforms for the new school year. Meet at Old Navy Westgate Mall in San Jose.

Check-in is between 6:15am-6:30am, mandatory orientation at 6:50am, shopping starts at 7am and ends approx 9:45am, (store opens @ 9am).

Starting at 7:00am, you will be paired up with a child and be given their shopping list that contains sizes and uniform/clothing needs. You will get to spend $100 elementary, $125 middler and $150 high school. on new clothing & uniforms. Try to select as much uniform/clothing and undergarments totaling as close to the amount indicated as possible.

Age Requirements: Minimum age 13 but must volunteer w/parent. Ages 14 years thru 16 must pair up with another the same age or older. Ages 17 thru adult optional but strongly recommended to work in groups of two or three.

Return child to designated area after purchasing clothes. Receipt, gift card and shopping list stays with staff assigned to check-out registers. You may opt to repeat with another child.

Goal is to serve 150 children, spending the designated amount for each with appropriate school attire and finish before or shortly after store opens to the public.

All volunteers must be confirmed to participate, no walk-ins.
