Project Details

It's no secret that the teen years can be tough. And for some girls, the standard turbulent emotions and raging hormones are just a small part of the struggle.

  • They are girls who have had a baby and are parenting alone...
  • Who are pregnant and considering their options...
  • These girls need a little extra help. These girls need a person to come alongside them, bringing compassion, advice and spiritual direction. Someone who won't cast stones, but will write a message of hope in the sand.

    What is YoungLives?

    OUR MISSION

YoungLives is a unique cutting edge non-profit Christian organization designed to EMPOWER and EQUIP teen moms to become productive citizens in the community. A program that teams up with mature Christian women to provide teen girls in crisis with timely encouragement, guidance and ongoing support.

Our ultimate goal is to pair each pregnant/parenting girl we know with a Christian women to walk alongside her and point her to real hope in Christ. Mentors meet with their mentees at a time that is convenient for them. As a community, we meet the Second Saturday of the month for CLUB, with lunch, games, music/dancing, lots of laughs, arts/crafts, and a Gospel message that relates to the girls and their place in life. Once a month on the First Friday we do CAMPAIGNERS - which is a safe place to talk about life and learn more about God through relationships and the Bible. We provide childcare for both Club and Campaigners. Once a month the Mentors get together for training and encouragement.
