The HIGH (Helping Individuals Go Higher) program aims to provide essential resources for Wayne State University students who are precariously housed or financially challenged due to situations beyond their control. Eligible students may receive support for housing, textbooks, school supplies, clothing, transportation and child-care assistance. Together, we will help our fellow students not only meet essential daily needs, but reach their goal of graduating from Wayne State University.
As a volunteer, your dedication will not only help these individuals and families meet essential daily needs, but will help transform lives. Committed and enthusiastic volunteers may work building partnerships with campus or community organizations, building student and communtiy awareness of the HIGH Program, designing and implementing marketing programs, planning and creating video and print campaigns, creating print and video materials for fund raising campaigns, develop and maintain databases of HIGH Program donors and campus and community organziations with interest in our program, staff campus activities to promote the HIGH Program, maintain volunteer opportunities listings on public volunteer recruitment websites, staff phone bank for fund raising for the HIGH Program, provide office assistance for public relations and fund raising efforts and technical support for website and social media sites.
