Project Details

YEAH! provides shelter and support services to young adults ages 18-24 who are homeless. Our program focuses on meeting the immediate needs of the young people who walk in our doors by providing a safe place to sleep, nutritious meals, showers and laundry, and connections to caring adults who can support youth in their goals. Our program is community-based, and volunteers are core to our shelter program! Each year, over 200 community members spend time in the program doing activities like cooking dinners, serving meals, helping youth access resources, and cooking breakfasts. We are always looking for caring, committed individuals to join our community, and we are so grateful for your interest in getting involved! This year is an exciting time at YEAH! - after operating as a seasonal shelter for 14 years, this September we will be re-opening our doors for the first year of year-round youth shelter!! Attached, you can find more information about the year-round volunteer opportunities at YEAH!.
All volunteers are required to fill out an application and attend an orientation prior to helping out in the program. Some volunteer positions, such as our shelter assistant position, have additional requirements including a background check and TB test, because of the increased work directly with our young people in these positions.
Please sign up for an orientation using this form: Also, if you have Facebook, we would love for you to "like" our page so you can stay up-to-date on upcoming events, donation needs, and current happenings at YEAH! Here is a link to our page: And, if you have any questions before the orientation, please contact me! Thank you so much, and we hope to see you at an upcoming orientation!!
