Every day, more than a thousand people come to the Woodland Public Library (WPL) looking for books and DVDs. However, even if the library computer says a book or DVD is on the shelf, if it is misshelved, it may as well be lost. Shelf readers ensure books are shelved correctly and any books found to be out of order are put back where they belong. Shelf readers restore order to what could soon be chaos so that library patrons can find the books they want. The library does not employ paid staff for this critical function. It relies solely on motivated volunteers. You too can be part of this important program. Library provides three hours of training.
Good match for those who like to bring order to library shelves and those detailed oriented.
