Bridges Community Support Services was founded in 2014 as a solution to the desperate need for services in the mental health/ homeless community. They are committed to provide aid where it is needed the most with a dedication and understanding for humanity and care. This means they respond to the basic needs which includes respect and dignity followed by food, clothing and housing. They are need of positive and friendly volunteers who want to make a difference in both the lives of individuals and families.
Areas where volunteers are needed include:
Aiding case managers with follow up phone calls to remind clients about upcoming appointmentsOrganizing and sorting food in the food pantry.Deliver or aid drivers in delivering food to clients who can not get to the pantry BCSS provides the necessary training for each volunteer position. VCI's part in this opportunity is to provide volunteers who are 55+ with a (free) comprehensive benefits package (inclusive of accident, personal liability and automobile liability insurance, a life Insurance benefit, free workshops and more) during the hours that you volunteer!
