Project Details

We are always in need of volunteer tutors for our Basic Literacy and English as a Second Language (ESL) programs. No formal teaching experience necessary - we will train on techniques and approaches for working with adult literacy students. Expanding a persons literacy skills helps them reach their potential.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Normally 1 hour per week with learner and some additional prep time. Board meets once a month for 1.5 hours and Board members are asked to help out at agency activities.
  • No prior teaching experience is required.
