Adults over the age of 18 who wish to tutor other adults in basic literacy (reading and writing) or work with those for whom English is a second language. No experience necessary. All new volunteers are required to attend a Volunteer Information Session in-person or virtually via Zoom (approx. 60 minutes) and 14 hours of tutor training. Tutoring sessions are currently held virtually. Once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, face-to-face sessions will resume within Frederick County.
