Assist customers; make sales; help with all aspects of running a small pet supply store. Critter Outfitter has an all-volunteer staff and profits go 100% to benefit shelter animals. Volunteers work with the public, many of whom have adopted shelter animals. Some hands on contact with pets, fitting collars, etc. This is a happy location inside the Adoption Center at the fabulous new Sacramento County Shelter. Retirees are especially encouraged to apply.

Shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday 12:30 PM until 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM. Saturday and Sunday, shifts are 12:00 PM until 2:15 PM or 2:15 PM until 4:30 PM. Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of two shifts per month. New volunteers are paired with experienced workers to receive training. Volunteers also receive a 25% discount for all purchases made.
