Are you looking to get involved in community service?
Do you have teaching experience?
Would you enjoy helping adults aged 18 and over learn and improve their English language skills?

If not, would you consider volunteering to be a substitute teacher?
The Mother Veronica Resource Center offers ESL classes Monday through Thursday. Classes are held twice a week -- either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. Class times include: 9:30 A.M. - 11:00 A.M., 5:00 P.M. - 6:30 P.M. and 6:30 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. We use Pearson's Foundations and Side by Side Plus curriculum, but teachers are free to use supplementary materials, those available at the Center and their own.
Foundations, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced courses are offered in two semesters, September through mid-December and mid-January through the beginning of June. Most of our students are of Hispanic origin, but no knowledge of Spanish or of any other language besides English is needed for this position.
We are especially looking for volunteers who can be available to teach 6:30 P.M.-8:00 P.M. classes.
