Refugees are provided with basic household items upon arrival in the United States. These items are moved into the home before or upon the refugeeā€™s arrival. Setting up a home for newly arriving refugees is an important part of making them feel welcome. A Refugee move-in leader will work with Catholic Charities staff to plan logistics of move-ins; Meet volunteers at Hope Distribution Center; Manage groups of volunteers; Load and unload furniture/home supplies into vehicle used for moves; Drive large moving van or small box truck; Move furniture/home supplies into homes; Set up homes to be ready for arriving refugees; Return moving van/box truck to Hope Distribution Center.
