BCAUSEICAN's vision is to create a generation of healthy, wealthy, and conscientious teens and preteens in America's under served communities and to introduce new opportunities for youth disadvantaged by America's socio-economic divide. One of the ways we do this is through computer classes that teach the basics of computers, networking, and an introduction to coding. These classes are around 25 students ranging from ages 5-11. Our volunteers are critical to our mission as they not only help by teaching the classes, but by being a mentor to under served youth. By providing instruction, advice, and guidance to teen and preteen youth, you help promote physical, social, and fiscal health and growth and to foster the next generation.
Classes are part of an after school program and are 2 hours once a week for 16 weeks.
You will be provided will all the training you need to feel comfortable teaching classes. You will not teach a class until you feel fully prepared. If you are interested, there is also opportunity for you to help design and research the class curriculum to best serve the students we teach.
Please reach out to us with any questions.
