WHAT VOLUNTEERS CAN DO
--Visit patients in a facility or in their homes. --Read to a patient who otherwise might not have access to favorite books, magazines or newspapers. --Play an instrument or listen to music. --Share stories and memories. --Simply be present with a patient, offering comfort just by being there.
Kindred volunteers are trained in the goals and philosophy of hospice care, as well as the care and comfort of the hospice patient. Through caring, compassion, and time given to hospice patients, our volunteers continue to make an invaluable contribution to community, gain personal emotional and spiritual growth, enhance their resume and greater appreciation for life.
