This is for someone who likes to work alone, cleaning and maintaining medical equipment. No particular experience necessary but attention to details is required. A mechanical affinity is a plus, but not necessary. Hours can be flexible, about 2 to 3 hours a week, weekdays preferred but that can be negotiated as the person will gain more confidence in this role.
Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County lends medical equipment not only to its hospice patients, but to anyone in the community, free of charge. We also receive donations of medical equipment and need to ensure they are clean and in good working condition.
We do not ask for any minimum commitment from our volunteers and understand vacation plans, travel plans, and the unexpected in people's lives. We provide training appropriate to the position.
We are almost entirely funded through the generosity of the community (in money, volunteer time and expertise) as we do not seek reimbursement from any government agency or insurance company.
