Project Details

You can use the professional skills and business experience you’ve earned on the job to create good jobs for working people and economic opportunity across America. Pacific Community Ventures' BusinessAdvising.org program recruits skills-based volunteers to work as mentors to small businesses in underserved communities.

You might be thinking, "Who has time to volunteer?" But the truth is, it takes less than 5 hours a month to make a big difference in someone else’s life. Don’t worry if you’ve never worked for or run your own small business. We'll match you with the right small business based on what you can contribute. And, skills-based volunteer advising can be done through email, phone, or Skype - whatever’s easiest for you.

In the last few years, people just like you have volunteered over 13,000 hours and created more than 15,000 new jobs for the people and communities that need them most.

Pro bono business advisors are needed with skills and experience in:

  • Marketing (Digital marketing; Social media; Sales; and Strategy)
  • Banking; Financial services; and Investment
  • Human resources and job creation
  • And more!
  • Get started as a mentor at http://www.pacificcommunityventures.org/ - you can even sign in with your LinkedIn account to create your profile.
