Project Details
Aquarium Interpreter volunteers assist visitors with touching live animals in our saltwater touch tank.
Touch Tank Volunteers interact with visitors to the Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit and assist visitors at the touch tank, which houses animals including sea urchins, sea cucumbers and hermit crabs. Touch Tank Interpreters may also share information about our six Model Ecosystems and other aquaria.
Please note that all volunteers are required to undergo fingerprinting and a background check.
