DescriptionThe purpose of Uspiritus is to provide comprehensive continuum of care, treatment and education to emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families that are cost effective and responsive to the unique needs of each child, always in close cooperation with the parents or guardians, referring agencies, and funding sources.
Uspiritus provides many services includign family preservation, therapeutic foster care, residential care, psychiatric residential treatment, transitional living, and independent living. We serve approximately 1,100 children a year. Uspiritus' residential programs serve emotionally and behaviorally troubled children ages 6 to 18 without regard to race, creed, or national origin. Children are referred to Uspiritus by psychiatric hospitals, public agencies, case management organizations, private practitioners, and families. Uspiritus has two residential locations in the Louisville area- Brooklawn Campus in Louisville and Bellewood Campus in Anchorage- and offices in Bowling Green, Lexington and Owensboro.
