Mission

Shakti Rising is a 501(c)(3) social change organization transforming the lives of women, girls, and the larger community. We cultivate the health, financial resilience and emerging
leadership of women, empowering them to utilize their transformation as a catalyst in their families, workplace and communities.This creates gradual cultural change that supports
sustainable, cooperative, healthy societies.
Our work actively promotes community well-being by creating woman and child friendly societies that are safe, healthy, vibrant,
diverse, sustainable, and culturally alive.

Our mission is to empower women to uncover, rediscover, and reclaim their whole selves.

What We Do

Since 1999, Shakti Rising has designed and implemented more than 20,000 hours of
evidence-based programming with over 15,000 women and girls.

In our first decade, we were sought out by healthcare funders for our innovative approach and outcomes. Universities partnered with us for student directed research, including several
Master's Theses on our transformational methodology and woman- centric community building practices. We consulted with organizations nationwide to create education, recovery and leadership programs for women in their communities.

In our second decade, we brought services to multiple states, including: Hawai'i, Oregon,
New Mexico,Tennessee, and Ohio. We partnered with a renowned organization in Kenya to
teach leadership classes. We consulted with/provided training for funding organizations,
corporations, women's leadership programs and sustainability associations.

Our services have supported front line workers, teachers, grassroots community organizers,
recovery communities, youth organizations, and faith-based communities. Outcomes include:
strengthened resilience, improved health across domains, greater creativity, adaptive responses
and team performance.

Shakti Rising's 22+ years of successful impact is due to the creation and implementation of a
proven and unique empowerment-based model of transformation. Shakti's model is a radical
technology that displaces the orthodox approaches used by the majority of society and at its core is: woman centered; holistic; trauma-informed; expressive arts based; community based; sustainable; and leadership-oriented.The premise: Those who transform themselves can initiate change in other individuals, groups, and communities.

Our three core programs address the whole person and interdependent systems - linking
micro and macro work.

SHAKTI FEMININE UNIVERSITY

Courses, tools and ongoing solutions that create healthy soulful, sustainable, and purposeful living. Our signature financial resilience, personal transformation, whole-person health +
wellness, and leadership curriculum - offered in person & online - are the key to our success.

ALCHEMICAL LEADERSHIP

Our leadership development program includes a robust intern/volunteer karma yoga pathway, coaching, training and consulting. Our cutting-edge leadership practices are shared with
individuals, organizations and corporations.

TRANSFORMATIONAL RECOVERY

A high impact, holistic and gender-specific Apprenticeship for young women (15-30) that addresses co-existing conditions such as addiction, body image issues, personal/systemic trauma and mental health issues. Due to demand, our signature soul recovery process is now offered online for diverse populations of
women, particularly women leaders, activists, teachers, business owners and health care professionals.
