CAAWC's vast offering of services cover not only the "4 H's" (health, heat, hunger, and housing), but also needs including child care, job training, income tax assistance, and early childhood education. Since 1967, CAAWC has proudly led the way in helping clients move out of poverty, improving client's lives and the quality of life of the whole community.
Description
CACD is a nonprofit organization on the front line of the war on poverty. CACD is a one-stop center where low- and moderate income families can access many specialized services designed for those in need. Part of the statewide Connecticut Association for Community Action, CACD serves 19 cities and towns in Northwestern Fairfield and Litchfield Counties, and has the hands-on expertise to effectively assist families facing barriers to self-sufficiency. Each year, CACD helps more that 14,000 people.
