Description

Rural Dog Rescues saves the lives of stray dogs from shelters in rural areas of Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, who can be euthanized 72 hours after they are found by animal control/ Dogs that are owner surrenders, can be euthanized immediately if the shelter is full. Dogs rescued are spayed/netuered, vaccinated and transported to the DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia area where they are placed in loving forever homes. Our adoption events take place in DC, Northern Virginia, Front Royal Virginia and Maryland.

Most of these dogs’ lives depend on a dedicated network of volunteers to save them from a certain death. We are strictly a volunteer based non-profit and No one takes a salary.
