The Laurens County CASA program provides community based advocacy that promotes safety and permanency for children who are victims of abuse and neglect. Trained and supervised volunteers, in cases assigned by the Juvenile Court Judge, center the focus of the case upon the child, giving the child a voice in the proceedings. The program further advocates resources for children and families involved in deprivation proceedings and promotes community awareness of the problems and solutions to child abuse and neglect.
Laurens County CASA represents children through volunteer guardian ad litems in deprivation hearings in Juvenile Court. Raises awareness of neglected and abused children in Laurens community.
